Rivista/Miscellanea: "Athenaeum", LXVIII
Luogo edizione: Pavia
Editore: Università di Pavia
Anno edizione: 1990
Pagine: 531-540
Parole chiave: Histoire - Storia - History, Rhétorique - Retorica - Rhetorics, Sources - Fonti - Sources
Descrizione: [L'Année philologique] [Comment] Caelius' vaulting ambition and hot temper can be seen to have played a large role in both his decision to follow Caesar in 50 and then to plot against his regime in 48. Although he may well have been favorably predisposed toward the interests of the boni and Senate, as Cicero would have us believe, Caelius' actions in these two decisions evince allegiance to no ideology or faction.
