Description: At the beginning of the 16th century, lectures on various works by Cicero were held in Latin at the University of Leipzig, for which student transcripts have been preserved in quite large numbers. Printed copies made especially for these lectures served the students not only as editions of the texts, but also as notebooks in which they could enter notes from the lecturers. Transcripts of the lecture on Cicero's speech “Pro Rege Deiotaro” (1515) have been preserved in 18 libraries and the annotations match. In addition to an electronic edition of these texts, this work also contains information about the lecture prints, the people involved and an examination of the form and content of the transcripts [Author].
