Description: This paper paper concentrates on the Ciceronian pseudepigrapha and focuses on three texts, the Declamatio Catilinae, the Responsio Catilinae, an invective in reply to the so-called Fifth Catilinarian, both of them prosopopoeiae originated in the declamation schools (presumably to be dated to the Early Middle Ages) and the Oratio Catilinae by Buonaccorso of Montemagno, written in 1417. It demonstrates the revitalization of the 'myth' of Catiline in early modern culture and Italian Renaissance. [Author]
