Description: [Abstract] The paper aims to analyse Cicero’s account of the murder of Clodius in the Pro Milone comparing it with two other sources on the same event: Asconius’ introduction to the Pro Milone and a speech delivered by Metellus Scipio a month after Clodius’ death. The goal is to understand which facts each author selected and whether — and to what extent — they distorted them to support their case. This comparison seeks to contribute both to the reconstruction of the historical events and to a better evaluation of Cicero’s reworking of the facts.
