Descrizione: Cicero has been historically ousted from the academic philosophy. The usually accepted belief in Roman thinkers as if they were nothing but mere transmitters of Greek disorganized theses is responsible of this oblivion. The author tries to show that Cicero's philosophy could be coherent reconstructed. It is proposed to use the genuine Roman notion of humanitas as the touchstone to perform this reconstruction [Cicero]
